Germany, Wehrmacht. A Lot of Visor Cap Insignia
(Wehrmacht Mützenabzeichen). A lot of three visor cap insignia, including an Officer’s wreath and cockade, constructed of a padded black wool base, the obverse bearing a hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire oak leaf wreath, set around an aluminum cockade with a red felt centrepiece, flanked by hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire wings, unmarked, measuring 150 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), with minor material fatigue evident, in overall near extremely fine condition; an EM/NCO’s wreath and cockade, constructed of a silvered zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an oak leaf wreath, set around a tri-colour cockade, flanked on each side by wings, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 143 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Heer EM/NCO’s wreath and cockade, consisting of an aluminum cockade with a red felt centrepiece, set within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with all four attachment prongs intact, maked “14”, measuring 63 mm (w) x 43 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
