Footnote: The Cruiser Cologne was a light cruiser that served as part of the Reichsmarine, and later in the Kriegsmarine. She was commissioned into the Reichsmarine in January 1930, armed with a battery of nine 15 cm guns in 3 triple turrets. After the outbreak of the second war in 1939, she conducted several tours in the North Sea, returning to Norway in 1942 to be refitted. She returned to Germany in early 1945, where she was sunk by American bombers.
