Footnote: Destroyer Z14 Friedrich Ihn was a Type 1934A-class destroyer built in the mid 1930s, deployed to blockade the Polish coast. At the onset of the war she was transferred to thee German Bight to lay minefields in German waters. It made several successful minelaying sortie off the English coast, destroying one British warship and eighteen merchant ships. Ihn was under repair during the Norwegian campaign of early 1940, and was then transferred to France later that year. She returned to service in 1941 where she escorted warships, commerce raiders, and supply ships through the Bay of Biscay. Ihn was then transferred to Norway, but was mostly inactive due to fuel shortages. Surviving the war, Ihn was transferred to the Soviets and scrapped in 1952.
