Constructed of gilded feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central coastal artillery gun with its barrel raised and extending beyond the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, designer marked “OTTO PLACZEK, BERLIN, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 41.51 mm (w) x 53.69 mm (h), weighing 29.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
