Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central destroyer cutting through waves, the reverse with a block hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with a top stabilizer, maker marked “SCHWERIN, BERLIN”, measuring 45.23 mm (w) x 53.67 mm (h), weighing 24.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
