(Flottenkriegsabzeichen) Constructed of gilded and silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a central frontal battleship cutting through waves, topped by a Kriegsmarine-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a raised crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 43.84 mm (w) x 57.00 mm (h), weighing 27.8 grams, minor loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
