Constructed of tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central depiction of an exploding mine on top of detailed waves, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by C.E. Juncker, Berlin, measuring 43.92 mm (w) x 54.76 mm (h), weighing 22.3 in near extremely fine condition.
