(U-Boot-Frontspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by crossed swords, topped by a Kriegsmarine-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U-Boat, flanked on each side by six oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, designer marked “PEEKHAUS”, maker marked “SCHWERIN, BERLIN”, measuring 76.23 mm (w) x 24.03 mm (h), weighing 18.8 grams, in extremely fine condition.
