Constructed of gilded and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central E-Boat cutting through waves, with its bow extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 52.66 mm (w) x 60.34 mm (h), weighing 45.6 grams, with weight and feature details indicative of a later-strike, in overall enear extremely fine condition.
