(Kriegsmarine Abzeichen). A pair of Kriegsmarine badges, including a High Seas Fleet Badge, constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine-style German national eagle, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 44.08 mm (w) x 57.47 mm (h), weighing 20.9 grams, the obverse swastika has been ground out, most of the gilt finish has been lost, and the badge is missing its entire pinback apparatus, in overall fair condition, and; a Minesweeper War Badge, constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine-style German national eagle, with a central depiction of a sea mine exploding, the reverse with a block hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 43.70 mm (w) x 54.26 mm (h), weighing 26.5 grams, the obverse swastika has been ground out, the reverse is missing its stabilizing pin, and most of the gilded finish has been lost, in overall very fine condition.
