A Fine Early Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge by C. E. Juncker (J-1)
A fine early quality “Pilotenabzeichen”; two-piece construction; silvered tombac oval wreath with laurel wreaths towards the left side and oak leaves towards the right side, separated by three small ribbon-like loops on the bottom, with a large patinated eagle with spread-out wings superimposed on the badge, clutching a swastika in its talons; two rivets on the reverse; vertical needle style pinback with a barrel hinge (previously repaired, with the pin replaced) and a round wire catch; slightly vaulted; maker marked “CEJ” for “C. E. Juncker, Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 53.12 mm x 66.38 mm; weighing 31.3 grams; in better than extremely fine condition.
