A Second War German Luftwaffe Shooting Lanyard; Grade II
Constructed of bluish-purple threading, all braided into an ornate knot with silver aluminum bullion wires embroidered into the braiding in a chevron formation; with a silvered aluminum applique depicting a national eagle gripping a mobile swastika in its talons; the knot with a grey wool backer; with an acorn attached to the lower end of the lanyard; both ends ending in a loop for uniform attachment; measuring 410 mm long; with some of the silver wires having come undone due to age and wear, but overall better than extremely fine condition.
