A textbook example of an early manufacture “Aufklärer” reconnaissance squadron clasp; in silvered tombac; the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a leftward facing eagle with a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath, and with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal tapered pinback, barrel hinge and round wire catch; measuring 75.95 mm x 25.52 mm; weighing 23.2 grams; in near mint condition.
