Germany. A Luftwaffe Flak Badge by E. Ferdinand Wiedmann

Consisting of an oval oak wreath constructed of zink, with a Luftwaffe eagle on the on the top of the badge clutching a swastika, and a Flak 88 facing towards the top right, with the barrel extending past the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a sheet metal hinge, and a flat wire catch; maker marked with the logo of “E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt am Main” on the reverse; measuring 44.72 mm (w) x 63.76 mm (h); weighing 35.2 grams; with approximately 45% of its original gilt finish remaining; in overall better than very fine condition.
