(Frontflugspange für Kampf und Sturzkampfflieger in Silver). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, overlaid by a patinated winged bomb, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with “F. & B.” for Funcke & Brüninghaus, Lüdenscheid, measuring 76.02 mm (w) x 25.36 mm (h), weighing 20.4 grams, the swastika formerly joining the wreath has been ground out, in overall better than very fine condition.
