Germany, Luftwaffe. A Fallschirmjäger Badge, by C.E. Juncker
(Fallschirmschützenabzeichen). Constructed of nickel-silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 42.28 mm (w) x 52.50 mm (h), weighing 39.9 grams, with evidence of period catch repair, an example of a “K” type badge in near extremely fine condition.
