Germany, Luftwaffe. A Mint Ground Assault Badge, by A.G.M.u.K.
(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaying a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with three visible rivets securing the eagle in place, with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of A.G.M.u.K, Gablonz, measuring 45.09 mm (w) x 56.33 mm (h), weighing 32.5 grams, a rare example of a zink badge in near mint condition.
