(Luftwaffe Flugzeugführerabzeichen). Instituted on 12.10.1935 by Generalfeldmarschall Hermann Göring. (Issued 1935-1945). Constructed of silvery-gray machine embroidery; the obverse consisting of a laurel and oak wreath, with an eagle superimposed on the front clutching a mobile swastika in its talons, on a dark gray wool backer, unpadded, measuring 76 mm (w) x 59 mm (h), with light to moderate mothing, in good condition.
