(Luftwaffe Fliegerschützenabzeichen). Early zink example. Two-piece construction, of silvered and patinated zink; the wreath consisting of laurel leaves on the left side of the wreath, and oak leaves on the right side of the wreath, with a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath, and an eagle superimposed onto the badge holding lightning bolts in its talons; the reverse plain, with a vertical needle style pinback, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; marked “C. E. Juncker, Berlin 68” on the reverse; measuring 40.54 mm (w) x 52.90 mm (h); weighing 29.1 grams; in overall extremely fine condition.
