Constructed of feinzink, the obverse bearing a leftward-facing profile of Hermann Göring, circumscribed by an inscription of “DER OBERBEFEHLSHABER DER LUFTWAFFE, REICHSMARSCHALL HERMANN GÖRING” (“THE SUPREME COMMANDER OF THE LUFTWAFFE, MARSHAL OF THE REICH HERMANN GÖRING”), the reverse bearing a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR AUSGEZEICHNETE LEISTUNGEN IM TECHNISCHEN DIENST DER LUFTWAFFE” (“FOR OUTSTANDING MERIT IN THE SERVICE OF THE LUFTWAFFE”), unmarked, measuring 75 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a padded white rayon-blended lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed blue felt medal bed, closing with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release unmarked, measuring 105 mm (w) x 105 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), the medal has lost most of its original finish and minor material fatigue is visible to the case, in near extremely fine condition.
