Germany, NSFK. A 1938 Germany Flight Day Commemorative Table Medal

(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Deutschlandflug Erinnerungsmedaille mit Etui). Constructed of coppered bronze, consisting of an oval disc, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “NATIONALSOZIALISTISCHES FLIEGERKORPS DEUTSCHLANDFLUG 1938” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYERS CORPS GERMANY FLIGHT 1938”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “MIT UNSEREM FÜHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGER WIR FÜR UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND” (colloquially translating to “IN LOCK STEP WITH OUR LEADER WE TAKE FLIGHT FOR OUR ETERNAL GERMANY”), as quoted from NSFK Korpsführer (Leader) Friedrich Christiansen, above a stamped issue number of “5321”, measuring 95 mm (w) x 76 mm (h), with minor tarnishing and scratching evident, in near extremely fine condition.
