Germany, NSFK. A 1938 Germany Flight Day Commemorative Table Medal, with Case
(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Deutschlandflug Erinnerungsmedaille mit Etui). Constructed of bronze, consisting of an oval disc, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “NATIONALSOZIALISTISCHES FLIEGERKORPS DEUTSCHLANDFLUG 1938” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYERS CORPS GERMANY FLIGHT 1938”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “MIT UNSEREM FÜHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGER WIR FÜR UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND” (colloquially translating to “IN LOCK STEP WITH OUR LEADER WE TAKE FLIGHT FOR OUR ETERNAL GERMANY”), as quoted from NSFK Korpsführer (Leader) Friedrich Christiansen, above a stamped issue number of “5373”, measuring 95 mm (w) x 76 mm (h), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former bearing a dedication from Christiansen in his capacity as Korpsführer, with a depressed dark blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 120 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 200 mm (h), in an overall near mint condition.
