Germany, Third Reich. A 1933 Bremen German Flight Day Plaque
(Deutschlandflug Erinnerungsplakette). Constructed of coppered bronze, the obverse bearing a formation of swastika-clad planes in mid-flight against a cloudy sky, topped by an inscription of “FLIEGER ÜBER BREMEN” (“FLYERS OVER BREMEN”), above an engraved inscription of “DEUTSCHLANDFLUG 26. AUG. 1933”, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 72 mm (h), in extremely fine condition. Footnote: From the collection of John Argiropoulos.
