An interwar manufacture example of a Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner “Fliegerschützenabzeichen” badge by this maker; in silvered and patinated zink; two piece construction, with a wreath consisting of laurel leaves on the left side and oak leaves on the right side, with a mobile swastika on the bottom of the wreath, and a eagle superiposed onto the badge holding lightning bolts in its talons; the reverse plain, with a vertical needle style pinback, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; maker marked “C. E. Juncker, Berlin S. W. 68” on the reverse; measuring 52.61 mm x 40.52 mm; weighing 29.8 grams; with all of its original gilt worn off; in overall near very fine condition.
