A Luftwaffe Unqualified Air Gunners Badge; Cloth Version
Machine embroidered in silvery and black threads, on grey Luftwaffe wool backing, in mint condition; every scarce. Footnote: The Unqualified Air Gunners and Flight Engineers Badge was introduced on April 25, 1944, and was awarded to Luftwaffe personnel acting in capacity of air gunners, and had taken part in at least ten combat operations (or had been wounded in the course of these combat operations). The recipients of these badges had not qualified for the Air Gunners Badge, but were instead replacing air gunners who suffered high rate of casualties in the closing stages of the War. 150
