(Fallschirmschützenabzeichen). Wreath constructed of nickel-silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a tomboc gilded diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, each rivet bearing flat plateau tops characteristic of Juncker, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 42.84 mm (w) x 53.20 mm (h), weighing 41.4 grams, a quintessential Juncker Type D Fallschirmjäger Badge in extremely fine condition.
