Germany, Luftwaffe. A Flak Badge, by Gebrüder Wegerhoff
(Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with an integral clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked with the logo of Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid, measuring 46.88 mm (w) x 63.92 mm (h), weighing 27.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
