(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid at the top by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Karneth & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 43.43 mm (w) x 56.44 mm (h), weighing 32.2 grams, the catch is missing and the badge demonstrates some loss of finish, in overall fair condition.
