Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 64.58 mm (w) x 53.40 mm (h), weighing 36.6 grams, with loss of finish and loosening of the eagle evident, in very fine condition.
