Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, Unmarked Friedrich Linden
(Flugzeugführerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse presenting with a swooping Luftwaffe-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, with two rivets holding the eagle in place visible, unmarked but bearing the physical characteristics of manufacture by Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 65.70 mm (w) x 53.28 mm (h), weighing 34.5 grams, and in very fine condition.
