(Fliegerschützenabzeichen für Bordschützen und Bordmechaniker).Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid-flight, clutching dual lightning bolts, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 42.58 mm (w) x 53.54 mm (h), weighing 31.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
