(Luftwaffe Bordfunkerabzeichen). Instituted 1935 (Issued 1935-1942). A Radio operator Badge constructed of silvered nickel-silver, consisting of a thick oval wreath with laurel leaves towards the left side of the wreath, oak leaves towards the right side, with a mobile swastika at the base, and an eagle superimposed in the centre with lightning bolts in its talons, the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pinback, barrel hinge, and a round wire catch, weighing 29.1 grams, measuring 40.17 mm (w) x 52.64 mm (h), and in better than very fine condition.
