Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid-flight, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.70 mm (w) x 53.38 mm (h), weighing 38.3 grams, the eagle clutches the remnants of lightning bolt which have been filed off and there is some minor oxidation evident to the metal, in overall near extremely fine condition.
