Constructed of silvered tobak, obverse depicts central swooping Luftwaffe-style German national eagle, inside oak and laurel leaf wreath with bottom mobile swastika, reverse with barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked on reverse “Deumer, Lüdenscheid”, two visible rivets holding obverse eagle in place, measuring 41.61 mm (w) x 53.46 mm (h), weighing 31.7 grams, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of heavy cardstock with a faux dark blue leather exterior, inscription of “Bordfunkerabz.” embossed in gold on lid, purple satin-type interior lid liner, intact hinge cover, slotted purple felt medal bed, functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release, functional magnetic metal hinge, measuring 77 mm (w) x 76 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
