An oval badge constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse with an oval oak leaf wreath with a ribbon on the bottom and a Luftwaffe-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a cloud towards the top and a lightning bolt striking the ground, the reverse plain with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with three rivets holding eagle in place visible, maker marked on reverse M.K. for Metall und Kunststoff, measuring 42.76 mm (w) x 56.48 mm (h), weighing 31.9 grams, and in near extremely fine condition.
