(Fallschirmschützenabzeichen mit Etui). Constructed of gilded brass and nickel-silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “JMME & SOHN, BERLIN”, measuring 41.80 mm (w) x 52.55 mm (h), weighing 38.3 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt inscription of “FALLSCHIRMSCHÜTZEN-ABZEICHEN”, the interior a purple rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted dark blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 76 mm (w) x 76 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), a superb matching set featuring Imme’s fletchless, flawed tail gap variation in extremely fine condition.
