Two-piece construction, constructed of a nickel silver wreath and eagle; the wreath consisting of laurel and oak leaves, tied together at the base via three ribbons, with a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika superimposed on the badge; the reverse plain, with two visible rivets; maker marked “JMME” on the reverse; with a vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; measuring 65.35 mm (w) x 52.92 mm (h); weighing 43.4 grams; a lightly worn example; in overall better than very fine condition.
