Constructed of nickel-silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, with a central swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked on the back “OM” for an unconfirmed maker, measuring 60.64 mm (w) x 52.64 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Badges maker marked “OM” are rare, and while the identity of the manufacturer remains officially unconfirmed, it is possible that it was the firm of Otto Meyerbauer.
