Constructed of silvered and patinated tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with visible dual rivets holding in place the obverse eagle, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid, measuring 62.97 mm (w) x 52.71 mm (h), weighing 45.2 grams, in near mint condition.
