In blackened aluminum, obverse illustrating an embossed winged man (Icarus) in flight, a swastika superimposed on his legs and a semi-circular banner above with the recessed letters "NSFK", inscribed "RHÖN-SEGELFLUGWETTBEWERB 23.7.-6.8.39" (Rhön Flying Competition, July 23 - August 6, 1939) and "NS-Fliegerkorps" at the base; maker marked "BREHMER MARKNEUKIRCHEN" on the reverse; plaque measures 77mm x 90mm, and it is very impressive looking, in mint condition.
