Germany, DLV. A 1936 Cannstatter Wasen Flight Table Medal
(Jubiläums-Medaille). Constructed of silvered bronze with a dark patina, the obverse bearing a depiction of a monoplane constructed by Ernst Heinkel in mid-flight, circumscribed by an inscription of “JUBILÄUMS-STERNFLUG ZUM CANNSTATTER WASEN - 1911-1936” (“ANNIVERSARY FLIGHT TO THE CANNSTATTER WASEN - 1911-1936”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “DER OBERBÜRGERMEISTER DER STADT STUTTGART - ORTSGRUPPE STUTTGART DES DLV” (“THE LORD MAYOR OF THE CITY OF STUTTGART - ORTSGRUPPE STUTTGART OF THE DLV”), topped by a Stuttgart horse rampant and above a DLV logo, unmarked, measuring 60 mm in diameter, with minor tarnishing evident, in near extremely fine condition.
