A textbook example of an mid-War manufacture “Transport und Luftlandflieger” Transport squadron clasp; in gilded zink; the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika in the centre, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal slender banjo style pinback, barrel hinge and round wire catch; measuring 75.73 mm x 25.56 mm; weighing 17.3 grams; with nearly all of the original gilt worn off with only very light remnants remaining; in overall very fine condition.
