Germany, Luftwaffe. A Short Range Night Fighter Clasp, Bronze Grade
(Frontflugspange für Nahnachtjäger in Bronze). Instituted on 14 August 1942. A clasp constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse with a central motif of an upward-pointing winged arrow, separately cast then riveted, a static swastika on the bottom of the blackened wreath, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse with a slender horizontal pinback, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch, measures 75.97 mm (w) x 25.59 mm (h), weighs 16.2 grams, extremely fine.
