(Frontflugspange für Nachtjäger in Gold mit Anhänger). Constructed of gilded and blackened zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular blackened laurel wreath, joined together at the bottom by a swastika, around an upward-pointing winged arrow, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the bottom of the wreath with dual integral loops accommodating a hanger bearing a raised number “400” flanked by laurel leaves, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and fluted horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 76.84 mm (w) x 26.05 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, with most of the finish lost and some oxidation evident, in overall very fine condition.
