Germany, Luftwaffe. A Front Flying Clasp for Transport and Glider Pilots, Gold Grade, with 200 Hanger
(Frontflugspange für Transport- und Luftlandflieger in Gold mit Anhänger). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika in mid-flight, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, suspended from the wreath by dual loops is a zink plaque bearing a raised number “200” flanked on each side by three laurel leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the obverse eagle in place, with a crimped barrel hinge and fluted horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, the clasp measuring 77.37 mm (w) x 27.15 mm (h), the hanger measuring 36.93 mm (w) x 9.16 mm (h), weighing 20.1 grams overall, with loss of gilt finish evident throughout, in overall very fine condition.
