A 1938 Victors Badge of the Regional Level National Trade Competition Badge by G. Brehmer
A 1938 Gausieger badge; 2nd type; constructed of silvered bronze and black, white, cream-coloured, and pebbled red enamels; the obverse constructed of a circular oak leaf wreath with a cream-coloured centre, inscribed “Gausieger” on the top and dated “1938” on the bottom, with a national eagle with outstretched wings superimposed in the centre, clutching a cogwheel in its talons with a HJ diamond in the centre; the reverse left plain, with a tapered vertical pinback, barrel hinge, and a round wire catch; maker marked “G. (Gustav) Brehmer, Markneukirchen” on the reverse; measuring 39.56 mm in diameter; weighing 30.6 grams; near extremely fine condition. (C: 167)
