This is a scarce and very desirable Order of Azard Hind with Swords - First Class Star, awarded to members of the Free Indian Legion for gallantry in the field of battle. The sun’s rays are crafted of heavily silvered tombac with partial gilding on the head of the tiger and the swords (separately attached); maker marked “Rudolf Souval, Wien VII” on reverse; vertical straight pinback; measuring 60.47 mm x 60.36 mm and weighing 35.9 grams. In extremely fine condition.
