A very fine quality example of a German Eagle Order with Swords “Deutscher Adlerorden V. Klasse mit Schwertern) by a well-known maker; multi-piece construction; Maltesian cross in gilt bronze and extremely well preserved white enamels; with four national eagles (Hoheitszeichen) between the arms of the cross; on a loop for suspension; with a correct replacement ribbon; unmarked; but displaying the typical characteristics of Zimmermann manufacture; measuring 45.18 mm x 45.09 mm; weighing 25.6 grams; refinished gilt and therefore in near mint/mint condition.
