Germany, Third Reich. A Life Saving Medallion
(Lebensrettungsmedaille). Constructed of silver, the obverse with a German national eagle overlaid by a mobile swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”) within an oak leaf border, unmarked, measuring 49.85 mm in diameter, weighing 55.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
