A gold grade mother’s cross “Mutterehrenkreuz”; in gilded bronze and black, white, and blue enamels; the reverse with the date of its inception (December 16th, 1938) and Adolf Hitler’s facsimile; with a correct replacement ribbon; measuring 42.99 mm x 36.25 mm; weighing 13.3 grams; extremely fine condition. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of dark blue faux leather (leatherette) exterior; embossed with an outline of a mother’s cross in gold on the outside of the lid; the interior of the lid lined with off-white satin and embossed “Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid” in black lettering; functional spring catch with stud release; intact but mostly separated interior fabric hinge cover; functional external metal hinge; measuring 110 mm x 50 mm; the underside of the box is taped using old-period tape; fine condition.
